Family Worship
A fun, full, energized service for families during our Sunday school hour.
This year, we will be having this service approximately every five weeks.
The service will have a message, scripture, prayers and will always have
Holy Communion, so it is a complete service – an opportunity for you to come
worship together as a family in a very relaxed setting aimed a little bit
more at our younger worshippers.
Confirmation Students: If you
attend Family Worship and complete a sermon note, you will receive credit
for both the sermon note and for Sunday school attendance. What a deal!
Plan for 2012 Camping Weekend! Join with other members and friends of Covenant at Governor Dodge State Park
north of Dodgeville on July 20-22, 2012, for a relaxing, refreshing, renewing
weekend for fun and fellowship. This year six families with 23 people, ages
three to 70, enjoyed great time together around meals and campfire and worship.
Those six families plan to return in 2012!
Devotions, recreational activities, shared meals, campfires and worship
are part of the experience. Campsites are grassy and wooded and with easy access
to water, flush toilets and showers. Cost for two nights for a site with
electrical hookup and firewood was $58.00 this year; without electricity, the
cost was $48.00.
NOW is the time to make plans for 2012 because reservations need to be
secured 11 months in advance to assure that Covenant campers can be grouped
together. Sign up in the narthex or phone the church office by August 15, 2011,
so reservations can be made for the entire group to keep sites close together if
possible.

Family Movie Night Movie Library
Do you ever wonder how we get the movies we have for movie night? Well,
there have been many sources: the library, Red Box, Net Flix, and the Movie
Gallery while it was open. Another very common source has been Ama-zon.com.
And thus, what started out as a movie or two has become a large collection
of movies. Why do you care? Perhaps you don‘t! But if you do, these movies
are now available for you to borrow – at no charge! Here‘s what you need to
know:
Contact Mark for a list of
movies. Pick out one that you and your family would like to see. E-mail Mark
at markdoll@chorus.net. Mark will e-mail you and let you know if it is
available. If it is, he will hold it for you until you can pick it up. When
you‘re done watching it, bring it back, and feel free to select another.
Kind of like NetFlix, with out the "net" part. Oh yeah, and without the
money part.
If you need more information
about any of the movies, feel free to e-mail me and I‘ll provide you the
details I have. The only restriction is that there is only one movie allowed
out to a family at a time.
